In training theory, the 1RPM (One Repetition Maximum), as an indicator for the maximum strength, is often used to control load intensities during training.To find out, a maximum strength test is carried out: The test person tries to work his way up to a weight / resistance where he can exactly repeat the respective exercise (taking into account the correct execution).This procedure is physically and mentally very demanding and not free from the risk of injury, it is also laborious to carry out and therefore not always feasible.The 1RPM can approximately be estimated and calculated from submaximal performances.
